Since I have acne prone skin most of the sunscreen creams available in the market do not suit my sensitive skin.

It has all the features and ingredients  that a sunscreen needs to have such as

•  broad spectrum protection  ie  UVB rays protection with SPF30+  (Octinoxate protects skin from UVB rays) 
•   UVA rays protection with PA+++  (Avobenzone protects skin from UVA rays)
• Zinc oxide reflects skin damaging rays
• Benzophenone-4 blocks out harmful UV rays. 

Generally if a sunscreen has zinc oxide then it is a physical sunscreen. If it has avobenzone or oxybenzone it is considered a chemical sunscreen.

 This gel sunscreen has both ingredients of physical sunblock and a chemical sunscreen, so it is a combination of both physical and sunscreen sunscreen and has the effects of both. 

Consistency and Safety 

 This gel easily blends and is light weight .It  can be used as a moisturizer also is safe to be used even on delicate skin ie on children. 

No White Cast 

It does not leave a white cast

Free of 

It is free of parabens,sulphates,allergens and phthalate .

It is also not tested on animals (cruelty-free) 

Packaging : 

It is travel friendly and comes in a small  yellow  tube with a white cap (40 g).

I have acne prone skin and this sunscreen fel does not break me out. This is my 4th tube and I will continue to use it till I find something without chemicals.

Cons

• Though most of the ingredients are natural, there are a few chemicals included in this sunscreen  , which are however not harmful. It has also chemicals like EDTA(check Ingredient list given below)
• This is not much of  a con but I  have not been able to find this product in stores. 
  This product does not last me for a month
• Cost :I feel it is pricey 220 Rs for 40g tube .

  Aqua, Octinoxate, Propylene Glycol, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Benzophenone-4, Triethanolamine, Zinc Oxide, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Acrylates/ Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Crosspolymer (and) Hydrogenated Polydecene (and) Lauryl Glucoside Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Fragrance.

  ZINC OXIDE (micronized) work by scattering the sun’s rays, which prevents potentially damaging ultraviolet radiation from getting to the skin. The finely powdered mineral formula used in sunscreen does two things—reflect and absorb. A protective zinc oxide layer on top of the skin reflects and absorbs the harmful UVA (also considered to be carcinogenic) and UVB rays such that they don’t reach your skin.

  OCTINOXATE also known as Octyl Methoxycinnamate and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, is the oldest and most common sunscreen active used to protect skin, primarily against UVB rays. It absorbs UVB radiation (at wavelengths: 280-320 nm) with a peak protection at 310nm. Octyl Methoxycinnamate has a solid record of safety (decades of research and thousands of studies establishing its safety in sunscreens as indisputable).

  BENZOPHENONE-4 is within a group of aromatic ketones that contain both UVB and UVA absorbing properties that filter block out harmful UV rays. It is quite effective in not only filtering out UV rays but also preventing other ingredients from being degraded by the sun. It does not penetrate the skin to a large degree but allows for other ingredients to do so.

  AVOBENZONE (butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) is an organic material that helps reduce the amount of UV light to which the human skin is exposed by absorbing and refracting the radiation and subsequent disposal.

Directions for Use

Apply Fixderma Shadow SPF 30+ Gel liberally & evenly on the face, neck and exposed area of skin 20 to 30 minutes prior to sun exposure. 

Claims:

• Further reapplication is only necessary after activities such as swimming or after excessive sweating. 
• Safe to be used on the delicate skin of children
• A mixture of both physical and chemical based sun protectors, it gives a complete coverage without imparting any bad appearance to the skin.

• Personal Experience :- I have been using  this product continuously for the last 6 months  and it does not aggravate my acne or does not break me  out unlike other  popular sunscreen brands available in the market . I was using Mcaffeine sunscreen previously but I developed acne after few months. So currently I'm only using Fix derma sunscreen gel and Aroma Magic sunscreen gel. (will review this later)
• It  is ideal for my sensitive  and acne -prone skin 
• It does not leave a white cast 
• A small amount  of the product is enough for one application
• You have to re-apply after a few hours for long lasting protection.
• It does not last me for a month 😓😐😑

Other Variants : They also have SPF 50 + gel (40 gm) for 350Rs.

 (It is a good sunscreen , just that it has chemicals and I prefer a natural alternative. Point reduced only for the chemicals included but as I mentioned these are not harmful chemicals. Also, this is not a completely natural product) . 

I would keep buying this product and  would recommended to anyone as it is suitable for all skin types and I had a great experience overall, using this product.
